Plug Charge Mapping

Introduction

Charge Mapping dashboard will help you customers to directly work on Charge id mapping for certain charges. This dashboard will be user friendly where you can Create Rules or Edit your existing custom rules. This will also help you to understand the impact on the rules you worked on which comes under simulation.

  1. Charges

The Charges tab eliminates the pain of manual categorization. It gives you a clear view of all uncategorized charges and to create smart, one-time rules that instantly automate the correct mapping for both current and all future charges. It's all about saving your time and ensuring perfectly organized data.

  1. Rules

The Rules tab automates charge categorization, saving time and reducing manual work. You can create Custom Rules (specific to customer) or use Provider Rules (system-wide) to ensure consistent and accurate classification. Once set up, these rules automatically categorize new and existing charges, keeping your data organized and up to date.

  1. How to Identify the Uncategorized Charges? Location: Charges Tab

The Charges tab displays all uncategorized charges extracted from processed statements from the last 6 months. Steps Navigate to the Charges tab.

By default, the Charge Type filter is set to Uncategorized.

Use additional filters such as:

Account No (e.g., 101426500)

Provider Name

Statement ID

Review the results displayed in the data table.

💡 Tip: Regularly review the Uncategorized view to ensure all new charges are mapped.


  1. How to View existing Rules that are unique to me?

Location: Rules Tab Steps Open the Rules tab.

In the Filters Panel, set Rule Type to Custom or Provider Rules .

Use filters like Provider, Charge Name, or Charge ID to narrow down results.

The displayed list represents Custom Rules, which are specific to your organization and Provider Rules based on filter selection 💡 Note: Custom Rules override Global Rules and are only visible to your customer account.


  1. How to Add a New Rule?

Location: Rules Tab

Steps

Go to the Rules tab . Click the Create Rule button .

Choose the Rule Type (Custom or Global, depending on your access*).

Fill in details such as:

Charge Name Provider Charge Id Include advance options more specific mapping 5.Click Save to create the rule.

✅ Once saved, this rule automatically applies to future or current matching charges.


  1. How to Add New Rule for Uncategorized Charges?

Location: Charges Tab

Steps Go to the Charges tab and locate the uncategorized charge(s) you want to map.

Review the charge details (Charge Name, Provider, Account No, etc.).

From there, choose the option to Create Rule button - this links directly from the selected charge data and selected row data is prepopulated. Define the mapping logic and save the rule. Once added, this rule will categorize the current and future occurrences of similar charges automatically.


  1. How to override the new rule for older data? Location: Rules Tab Steps Go to the Rules tab.

Create or Edit an existing rule as a Custom Rule or Provider Rule

Update the rule logic or mapping as needed.

Save and refresh the data view or reprocess charges if applicable.

💡 Custom Rules take priority over older or global rules, ensuring your preferred logic is applied.


  1. How to change the priority order? Location: Rules Tab Steps
    1. Go to the Rules tab.
    2. In the Rules table, find the rule whose priority needs to be updated and select the checkbox.
    3. Choose Placement Preference
      1. Under Place rule, select:
      2. Before → places the selected rule ahead of the chosen reference rule
      3. After → places the selected rule behind the chosen reference rule
    4. Click Preview Priority Change to check how the new ordering will look before saving.
    5. Click Save Priority to apply the changes.

💡Priority directly controls the rule execution sequence — lower numbers indicate higher priority.
