Welcome to the Storage-in-Switch (SinS) workflow tutorial! This document will guide you through the steps required to set up and utilize our storage product within the Switch platform. As we launch this beta version, it's crucial to understand the initial features available, as well as the roadmap for future iterations.

Overview

The Storage-in-Switch workflow encompasses several core functionalities aimed at optimizing energy storage and utilization.

The steps that you will perform in this tutorial are:

  1. Create a Storage-in-Switch Account: Set up a new account using the provided JSON structure.
  2. Choose a Utility (LSE) and Tariff: where you define what rate plan they are on.
  3. Create a Usage Profile: Define the electricity usage profile with hourly time series data.
  4. Create Solar Profile: Set up the solar profile using parameters such as system size, azimuth, tilt, and efficiency.
  5. Generate New Post-Storage Profiles: Simulate the battery storage system to create adjusted profiles for grid imports, solar exports, and battery interactions.
  6. Generate a Savings Analysis: Perform a savings analysis using the newly created storage profiles to evaluate the financial benefits of the storage system.
