Tariff Identification Workflow
Follow the recommended sequence to identify a customer’s utility, search for likely tariffs, and refine tariff results.
Follow this sequence when you need a guided path from utility lookup to final tariff selection.
Recommended sequence
Identify the utility company that serves your customer before you search for tariffs.
Query likely tariffs using location, service type, customer class, tariff type, and effective date filters.
Narrow larger tariff result sets with sorting, tariff code searches, and other filtering techniques.
Filter tariffs for commercial and industrial electricity users by consumption and demand size.
Filter by eligibility requirements, rate characteristics, and enrollment availability.
What You'll Learn
Follow this workflow when you need to:
- Identify a customer's utility provider
- Search for likely residential tariffs
- Refine long tariff result sets
- Search for general commercial and industrial tariffs
- Apply advanced filters for eligibility, rate characteristics, and enrollment status
Each step builds on the previous one. If you already know the utility and only need to query tariffs, start with Step 2.
Start with Step 1 if you do not already know the customer's utility.
