[Plug Intervals] Meter Management

Meter Management in Plug Intervals is an enhancement designed to auto-deactivate dormant meters for which new intervals are not expected.

Previously, once a meter was activated, it would remain active till deactivated via the API or dashboard. Unless deactivated, we would keep trying data collection for such meters. These would often show up in failure status on the dashboard leading to inaccurate failure statuses.

With this feature, we enable enrolling into automatic meter management services. We auto deactivate such dormant meters so to ensure only meters with new interval data expected remain active. The intervals and meters API endpoint also include a new field 'isIntervalsDormant' indicating if new data is expected for the meter. For customers not choosing to enrol for the meter management service, the isIntervalsDormant field in the dashboard and api response can still help identify and deactivate such meters by themselves.
