[Plug] Business Units

Control who on your team sees which accounts, all within a single organization.

Business units let you group your accounts into a hierarchy that reflects how your organization actually works, then control access to each group. Access flows downward: a user assigned to a business unit sees that business unit and everything nested beneath it, and nothing beside or above it.

Every organization now has a root business unit named after your organization, and all of your existing accounts and users start there. If you never create a business unit, nothing about your experience changes.

Accounts can be assigned in bulk from the accounts page, through the expected accounts, or bulk account update CSV. API keys can be scoped to a business unit, and each business unit has its own production and sandbox webhook URLs so you can route events for one segment of your data separately. Two new user roles, Business Unit Manager and Read-Only, let you delegate management without granting full admin access.
