Custom data is now live in Plug

We're excited to announce that the Dashboard UI now supports creating, updating, and viewing Account level and Meter level custom data fields!

Why this matters

Custom data allows organizations to create up to 10 fields at the Account and Meter level to tag data as needed that is not present on the statement. This is purely optional data provided by the customer for the customer's convenience, allowing you to use Plug as a one stop shop for your data and data attributes.

How it works

1. Navigate to the custom data configuration page: Start in the configurations section (⚙️) and select the tab named custom data. Here you can view and edit custom data labels for Accounts and Meters.
2. Create custom data labels: Select the edit button (🖊️) and update values for your Account and Meter level custom data. Save the changes.
3. Update custom data for Accounts or Meters: For any Account or Meter, open up the details page and select the tab for custom data. Here you can edit any custom data value for any label you set up previously.
